Urban Loft in Olde Walkerville

Olde Walkerville has become quite the trendy area in Windsor, Ontario. More businesses are popping up and renovating old business spaces. There are so many amazing restaurants to choose from in this little area, that you will never go hungry. These loft style apartments are steps to all the action in this trendy neighborhood. You can walk right out your doorstep and take a historic tour of Canadian Club, which is home to Canadian Club Whisky. This town was founded by Hiram Walker in 1890 and is characterized by large houses, wide streets, and lots of greenery. This little part of town has so much to offer.

Not only does the area have so much to offer, but so do these condos. They used to warehouse the world's best and most luxurious whisky, and is built to withstand an explosion. With floors made of reinforced high strength concrete, you know that you will be living in something stronger than buildings constructed today, and built to last.

The owner of this condo really made urban design style, look it’s absolute best. The exposed brick in the living room that carries through to the dining room really make the two spaces feel like one. The exposed concrete ceilings give a nice texture, and show you just how well built these condos really are. The large scale art really draws your eyes up to the high ceilings and make the space feel even more open. The furnishings and accents are soft tones and really compliment the design, and give the large open space a really cozy feeling. The rich hardwood floors give the living space a really warm feeling throughout, and help the layout really flow.

This kitchen has beautiful granite counter tops providing so much space to prep food or entertain. The two tiered extra large island provides extra seating and prep space. And really who doesn’t love a large island? At the end of the counter they even added some shelving and wine cooler fridge for a little bar area. Really... What more could you ask for in a kitchen?

They really made the most of every corner in this large loft. An office with a view, is set right behind the open living area. It offers views of the neighborhood and a wall of windows that give this space lots of natural light. Who wouldn't want this to be their office?

In the loft upstairs attached and open to the bedroom, they created a reading area with a wall of bookshelves. Although open to the bedroom, the comfortable reading chairs and natural light really provide a cozy reading space to sit down and relax in.

The master bedroom is located upstairs and although it offers little privacy from the downstairs it really shows you what urban loft living is all about. With no enclosed walls to the downstairs and glass railings all around, it helps make the space downstairs feel even bigger and more open. If you thought the master bedroom was something to talk about... how about the master bath. The master bathroom has beautiful soaker tub enclosed within the shower. The large shower with a rain head is large enough to fit a tub! Now how cool is that? I absolutely love that they used ceramic tile that looks like hardwood to give a rustic organic look.

This condo is absolutely done to the nines. It was such a pleasure to photograph, and is exactly why I love my career as a Real Estate Photographer. I get to see amazing properties at their best.
